Groom Fails To Show Up On Wedding Day, Pretends To Be Sick

A Zimbabwean groom, Phathisani Hlabangana, a Kalawa Jazmee production employee, embarrassed and humiliated his pride, Jacky Moyo, as he failed to show up for his wedding on 24th December.

Reports had it that Moyo agreed to pay for all the wedding expenses, including catering and cakes, while Hlabangana was to pay for the venue only.

Sources close to the family had it that the bride was the one pushing for the wedding while the groom had been dragging his feet from onset.

It was later discovered that the groom didn’t pay for the wedding venue. He also refused to show up at the venue, as he pretended to be sick. He was later seen at the Kalawa Homecoming gig the following day.

When contacted, the groom however denied the allegations and said:

“The rumors are not true. What happened is I fell sick on the wedding day and we were forced to cancel the wedding”

The bride had this to say when contacted:

“At the moment I am not in a good state of mind to talk about this whole drama”

The bride’s mother confirmed the cancellation of the wedding and said:

“I know people were not happy that my daughter was getting married, anyway it’s life, bad things happen unexpectedly”

THE ISSUE:

Hmmmm!

WHAT TYPE OF SICKNESS WOULD KEEP A MAN DOWN ON HIS WEDDING DAY AND HE IS UP ATTENDING EVENTS THE FOLLOWING DAY?

I WANDER?

WHAT DO YOU THINK?

Exactly. People should not be manipulated into marriage to avoid unpleasant consequences. Also, people should not place unnecessary financial burdens on themselves in the name of wedding ceremonies. Anyway, looking on the positive side, a cancelled wedding ceremony is better than a divorce.
