Courtship, which is the period from when a marriage proposal is made to the time the wedding takes place is advocated by many.
I am one of those who encourage intending couples to go through courtship in order to get to know themselves better and finally decide if the courtship will end in marriage.
However, I have seen and heard stories of intending couples being in courtship for years. Some even have up to ten years of courtship. The painful part is that some of these people end up not getting married to each other, after they have wasted each other’s time and chances.
