a visit to Olumo Rock

These days, effective learning has gone beyond the four walls of the classroom. Excursions is one of the ways of maximizing the three domains of learning, which are: the cognitive domain, the psychomotor domain and the affective domain.

During the weekend, we visited one of the ancient landmarks and tourist sites in Nigeria, The Olumo Rock!

Olumo Rock

Olumo Rock is an imposing rock and a massive outcrop of granitic rocks which is located in between Ikija and Itoko Communities of Abeokuta, in Ogun State, Nigeria.

The Excursion to Olumo Rock was educative, informative, exciting and adventurous. We all had ‘unquantifiable’ fun!

Parents/guardians, it is always great to give your children/wards the opportunity to effectively maximize all the three domains of learning in order to enjoy effective learning and excursions are one of the ways to achieve this.
